The 441 yard 9th hole is now one of the most challenging Par 4’s around. The white tee is placed way into the forest making for a tough drive between pines all down the right and a collection of Oaks encroaching the fairway from the left.
For the Big hitters, here is the ultimate test! As the fairway approaches 250 yards and beyond it narrows and drops 60 feet to a landing area below. If taking on the challenge, remain aware that the Out of Bounds creeps in on the right.
The generous green is elevated and well guarded by bunkers and a steep slope at the front of the green means any shot slightly short can roll all the way down to the bottom, so remember 'don’t be short'!!
As one of the longest Par 5’s anywhere, you would be forgiven for thinking it is a straight forward hole. This is not true, as every yard of this hole has to be respected due to the many hazards from Tee to Green.
The White Tee stands alone, above the stream some 641 yards from the green. The drive is one that requires an accurate shot to avoid the wandering stream on the right of the fairway, running the full length of the hole.
The longer hitters must take note from their second shot, as in reach is a crossing brook running diagonally across the fairway at approximately 180 yards from the green. Its up to you, its farther than you think.
As you approach the green there are Pines on the left, consequently making it a narrow entrance. Accuracy is still important. The green is large and very undulating.

'The Ultimate Par 3' and one of the best in the Midlands, it is always the topic of conversation in the clubhouse and long after.
Played from the White Tee, 100 feet above the green, it is a 175 yard descent of nerve jangling carry over a broad meandering stream and onto a relatively small green. There is no easy way to play this!!
Beware of the wind, it makes club selection absolutely vital and you will not hit the same club twice. From when the ball leaves your club (as you and your partners hold your breath) you will have no idea of its destiny, until you see it land.
You've got to play it to
believe it!
